Our love story started with a swipe right on Bumble, & after a couple of weeks of chatting, we finally made plans to meet up. Despite Eric’s initial embarrassment of misspelling her name, we instantly knew we had a strong connection through our shared love of family and all things nerdy. The first date was supposed to be dinner in the city, but instead, Eric surprised her with homemade pizza from scratch, while she brought over her delicious brown butter chocolate chip cookies & her family’s traditional baklava, made with her Aunt the day prior. From the moment our eyes met, we were mesmerized - lost in the excitement of learning about the person in front of them; checking off boxes we never knew could exist in another person. It only occurred to us, that we’d stayed up all night talking when the dawn caught Beckey’s eye & in our disbelief, we broke out in laughter. What was supposed to be a one-night date turned into three days of adventures on the water, relaxing in the hot tub, & enjoying each other's company while we savored leftover pizza and cookies.
